HEARING AID PRACTITIONER (HAP) $550.00 (Temporary Register)

• Has a diploma from the  MacEwan College Hearing Aid Practitioners Program or equivalent (the equivalent must be    approved by the Registration Committee).
• Has completed the practical and theoretical exam set by the College.

REGISTERED HEARING AID PRACTITIONER (RHAP) $550.00 (General Register)

• Has a diploma from the  MacEwan College Hearing Aid Practitioners Program or equivalent (the equivalent must be    approved by the Registration Committee).
• Has completed the practical and theoretical exam set by the College.
• Has completed the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences exam.

EDUCATIONAL STUDENT (ES) $50.00

• Is enrolled or in the process of completing the  MacEwan College Hearing Aid Practitioners Program or equivalent.
• Is under the direct supervision of a regulated member in good standing of CHAPA or ACSLPA, who has been registered on the general register of their respective College for a minimum of one year.
• Is NOT providing professional services.
• Must complete the  MacEwan College Hearing Aid Practitioners Program within four years of starting the program.

INTERIM MEMBER (IM) $50.00
• Has completed the  MacEwan College Hearing Aid Practitioner Program or equivalent (the equivalent must be approved by the Registration Committee.
• If working in a clinic, is under the direct supervision of a regulated member in good standing of CHAPA or ACSLPA, who has registered on the general register of their respective College for a minimum of one year.
• Must complete the CHAPA Theoretical and Practical exams within 2 years of graduation from an approved program.
• Individuals who have not successfully passed the CHAPA Theoretical and Practical exams within 2 years of graduation will have their memberships referred to the Registration Committee for further consideration of their application or membership status.

ASSOCIATE or OUT OF PROVINCE (ASSOC) $250.00

• Has been a regulated member and wishes to maintain contact with the College.
• Is dispensing hearing aids outside of Alberta and wishes to affiliate with the College.

INACTIVE (IN) $250.00

• Has obtained a diploma from an approved program of studies
• Has successfully completed a theoretical and practical examination,
• Is an individual who does not provide professional services within the Province of Alberta
• Is an individual who temporarily does not hold a current Practice Permit within the Province of Alberta
• Is a individual who completes the appropriate forms prescribed by the Council and pays an annual registration fee determined by Council.

HONORARY (HON) $0.00

• An individual recognized for his contribution to the College or Profession.
